Big Run Studios

As the Director Of User Experience, for the start-up Big Run Studios, I built and directed a team of experienced designers out of Argentina. Defined the UX and UI style and system for all Big Run Studios’ game IP which we implemented across 5+ games. That style continues to be implemented in the games they develop today.

  • Unity, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Unity, JIRA, SourceTree

  • iOS, Android

  • Big Run Studios was a start-up that focused on making bite-size games that we published with Skillz (a mobile gaming platform that offers a central portal for watching, discovering, and competing in mobile games).

CEO Andrew Bell approached me when he was founding Big Run Studios, he was looking for a UX Director who had experience working with remote design and development team.

When I joined it was a skeleton crew and our first priority was to get Big Run Bingo designed, built, and shipped ASAP.

Big Run Bingo was the foundation that Big Run was build on, as its most successful games it recruiting tool we needed early on, and we leveraged that work while developing the rest of Big Run suite of games.

  • With each game being so bite-sized my goal was to have the UX and UI very consistent throughout the Big Run Games, CEO Andrew Bell already had the vision of using Chelsea (the main character in all of our games throughout each game) so this naturally made sense).

  • During my time at Big Run, we built and launched 4 games on Skillz with a fifth one deep in development. We built and trained a remote design team in Argentina.
